Protective Filtration for Microfluidic Nanoparticle Precipitation for Pharmaceutical Applications

چکیده
Abstract Microfluidic processes are of great interest for the production nanoparticles with reproducible properties. However, in real systems, it is difficult to completely exclude incidental larger particles, which can contaminate product or clog downstream process modules. A class microfluidic filters was devised eliminating particulate contamination multistage continuous‐flow processes. To achieve high throughput and filtration efficiency, a high‐surface‐area filter an application‐adapted bonding method developed. As model application, efficiency analyzed lipid made by antisolvent precipitation results were compared requirements European US guidelines.

متن کاملBiofabrication of gold and silver nanoparticles for pharmaceutical applications
Biofabrication by using fungi is an exciting recent interest to develop an eco-friendly production of metallic nanoparticles (NPs) for pharmaceutical applications. This study aimed to synthesize and characterize gold (Au) and silver (Ag) NPs by using Penicillium simplisimum. The fungus was grown in fluid czapek dox broth on shaker at 28 ºC and 200 rpm for ten days. Then the supernatant was...

Perhaps one of the most exciting and revolutionary scientific discoveries of the past 3 decades has been the development of in vitro fertilization (IVF) to treat human infertility. It is impossible to quantify its effect on numerous families since the first IVF birth in 1978 in Oldham, England (Steptoe and Edwards, 1978). With increasing clinical utilization of assisted reproductive technologie...
متن کاملMicrofluidic colloid filtration
Filtration of natural and colloidal matter is an essential process in today's water treatment processes. The colloidal matter is retained with the help of micro- and nanoporous synthetic membranes. Colloids are retained in a "cake layer"--often coined fouling layer. Membrane fouling is the most substantial problem in membrane filtration: colloidal and natural matter build-up leads to an increas...
